The Clayton police department is currently accepting applications/resumes for the following position (Police officer). Benefit package includes, starting salary of $16.50 pr/hr for NM certified or out of state certified officers, health insurance (75% premium paid by town). State of NM P.e.r.a 25 year retirement, $2,500 sign on bonus for NM certified officers, vision, dental,    $50,000 life insurance policy, vacation, sick and family medical leave. All equipment to include a take home vehicle is issued along with advanced training opportunities. Overtime and comp time are available along with incentive/merit pay.
